Immigration Act 1971
UK Borders Act 2007 (sections 32- 39)
Who is liable to deportation?
Persistent offender
Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002
Public interest in deportation
12 months – 4-year sentence: Exceptions to automatic deportation
Exceptions
Non-settled migrants

Objectives: At the end of the webinar delegates will have a thorough understanding of the law and practice surrounding decisions by the Secretary of State to deport and will be equipped with the knowledge to represent clients faced with deportation.
