Sairah Javed

Sairah (she/her) joined JCWI in September 2017. She is a qualified solicitor and is an IAAS Level 2 accredited caseworker and supervisor. 

Sairah has been working in immigration and asylum law for more than fourteen years and is committed to helping vulnerable and marginalised people access justice and fight for their rights. 

She has extensive experience of working on migrant worker’s rights issues, complex Article 3 and 8 cases with a special interest in indefinite leave outside the rules and adult dependent relative applications. 

She currently works on JCWI’s workers rights campaign ‘work it out’ and advises Unison members on their immigration problems as part of the Unison advice line. Sairah conducts advocacy before the First-Tier and Upper Tribunal regularly.
